Exploration of the Elements & Principles of Art | One Day Visual Arts Workshop with Joel Smoker

Drawing inspiration from Smoker’s solo exhibitions Big Wide Land and Way Out West, participants will explore the elements and principle of art and design and experiment with different drawing media. In this fun and hand’s on workshop, participants will create their own unique piece of art to take home.

Joel Smoker has exhibited widely around Australia since 1979, showing work that has included ceramics, photography, pastel drawings, silk screen prints, and collage. Smoker’s art is represented in major collections including the Art Gallery of WA, The Fremantle City art collection, The Shire of Munda ring art collection, The City of Geraldton art collection and The National Gallery of Victoria.

This workshop is suitable for 16 + years and open to beginning to advanced students.
