Thelma Cluning is a Visual Art teacher with over 35 years experience in educating all ages and abilities. In this workshop, Thelma is focusing on using drawing as the precursor for other art disciplines. As a textiles artist, she forms connections between the mark making of drawing media, and the mark making and textures of stitching and paper collage.

Packed with practical drawing tasks, drawings will be taken into textiles samplers, thus illustrating how powerful connections exist between a variety of media. At the conclusion of the workshop, Thelma will demonstrate using the machine as a drawing tool, with the intention of encouraging participants to use this technique for their arts practice.
