ArtGeo Gallery hosts a dynamic program of temporary and collection based exhibitions sourced regionally, nationally and occasionally internationally. Situated in the heart of Busselton’s cultural precinct, it is known as a place where ‘art and heritage meet’.

The Gallery, which is owned and managed by the City of Busselton, is housed in an elegant neo-classical brick and tile pavilion, built for the Agricultural Bank of Western Australia in 1931. It opened in September 2008 with the launch of Signatures South West, now known as the City of Busselton Art Award.

This annual award attracts artists from across the State contending for an acquisitive first prize of $10,000 and a solo exhibition in ArtGeo Gallery. Past winners include Kay Gibson, Lee Harrop and Marina Troitsky to name a few. Prizes are also awarded for Emerging Artist, Highly Commended and People’s Choice which is chosen by visitors to the gallery voting for their favourite piece. Now in it's 13th year it is open to all artists residing in WA working in any medium or subject. Through this award, the City of Busselton Art Collection now holds more than 100 works.

The ArtGeo Gallery is an adaptable white space with beautiful jarrah flooring that is perfect to showcase the very best of local and national art and design. The Gallery, and its historically significant surrounds, aim to present a stimulating program of events including artist talks, workshops and educational activities for the community, artists and visitors to the region. Our programs are structured to provide encouragement and support to both emerging and established artists.

The Gallery is an elegant venue for cultural or corporate functions, visit the Venue Hire page for more information.

ArtGeo is a member of GalleriesWest – an independent advocacy body dedicated to strengthening the public galleries sector in Western Australian.
